For ChildrenSunday School - Throughout the school year, our children are nurtured in their faith by our Sunday School and Nursery Care teachers, and by their participation in Holy Communion and the life of the parish. Beginning Sundays at 9:15 a.m. at St. George’s and 9:45 a.m. at All Saints’. Vacation Bible School - Nearly one-hundred children and dozens of volunteers gather at All Saints’ the week after school lets out in June for a week of Christian Education, singing and fun. Camp Arrowhead - For over fifty years, our parish has provided teen and adult staff and many scholarships for children to participate in our diocesan camp on Rehoboth Bay. Camping ministry is very effective in enlivening young people’s faith. For AdultsReligious Issues with Father Simon Mein - We are so blessed to reap the fruit of Fr. Simon’s years of scholarship and discernment. This book and Bible study group discusses theological issues throughout the school year on alternating Fridays from 3:00 to 4:30 at All Saints’ parish hall. New participants are always welcome. Click here to see Fr. Simon's Blog, "Simon Surmises". Wednesday Bible Study at St. George’s - John Birdsell leads this group of faithful participants in exploring the many books of the Bible. A good introductory study that is open to newcomers at any time and meets Wednesdays during the school year at 10:30 a.m. at St. George's parish hall. EfM - Education for Ministry is a four-year program of study and reflection that helps empower participants for ministry in everyday life. The three-hour classes meet weekly throughout the school year. Parish Book Club - Father Chris Moore’s book club meets nearly monthly for in-depth discussions of faith-related books that are assigned well in advance. Please check Sunday bulletins for schedule updates. Movie Series - Fr. Chris’ popular movies series continues with quarterly viewings and discussions of a broad range of films and documentaries, posted in the parish newsletter, Sunday bulletin and parish website. Advent Series - To help better prepare us spiritually for Christmas, a series entitled “The Word Became Flesh: Implications of Incarnation” will be held at St. George’s parish hall on Wednesday evenings December 2, 9, and 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Includes presentations, discussions and meditations. Winter Session - Pastor David Risseeuw is hosting a new series at St. George’s on Sundays after coffee hour (approximately 11:30 a.m.) January 17 through February 14. With various presenters, topics will include “Marks of Being an Episcopalian” and “Reinventing the American Church”. Esther de Waal - Parish friend and renowned Celtic scholar Esther de Waal visits the parish from her home in Wales upon occasion to continue to expand the horizons of our faith. An extraordinary blessing for the community. We will keep you posted as to her plans for another visit with us. Lenten Series - On Thursdays beginning with our 11:30 a.m. Healing Service and a soup lunch hosted by our ECW Board and Chapters, we gather for a series of presentations and discussions of various topics essential to our faith. Previous topics include The Beatitudes, Creation: Perspectives in Science & Theology, and Jesus: From Synagogue to Cathedral. Five Thursdays February 25 through March 25. Lenten self examination questions Inquirers’ Classes - To prepare for Confirmation and Reception in The Episcopal Church during the Bishop’s yearly visitations, new parishioners and teens gather to discuss the Bible, The Book of Common Prayer, Church history and other issues of our faith. Summer Series - Fr. Chris continues his popular summer series, this time with the theme “Life Stages and Faith” to be held on Wednesdays July 7 through August 4 at 5:30 p.m., All Saints’ parish hall.
